I am blessed to be born and raised in Destin, Florida. My family has been in the area since the 1940s. Growing up on these beautiful beaches was a blessing. After Graduating from Fort Walton Beach High School I attended Auburn University and finished at the University of West Florida with a Communications degree. 

I worked retail from age 13 and after graduating college I worked for numerous charities, including being the Director of Habitat for Humanity for Okaloosa County. Serving my community has always been my passion.
 
My faith, my family and my friends are everything to me. I have been married for over 30 years and have 2 daughters who bring me so much joy. While raising my daughters, I volunteered with their schools and church and helped out wherever needed. Planning events and parties were my favorite jobs. 
 
Almost 3 years ago I fell in love with mahjong and now want to share the game of mahjong with our community. Alongside my best friend Claire, I am thrilled to start this new Mahjong adventure and share it will all of you!

Having lived in Florida my entire life I am blessed to call Destin my home for the last 30 years. It has been a joy getting to raise my children here.
After receiving my degree in Education, my husband and I moved to Destin. I quickly began having children and did not use my degree in the classroom but it came in handy while raising my four children.

When my kids were little I stayed busy joining PTO’s, The Library Guild, Junior League, volunteering in their classrooms and at church. Much of my time was also spent planning elaborate themed birthday parties for my kids, one of my favorite all time things to do!

As my children got older I began catering for friends. My love of cooking goes way back to when I opened a little business with my friend selling homemade chocolates and lollipops in my twenties.

I am also a lover of all games, having grown up with a mother who was always pulling out a game to play. I even got my husband to play scrabble with me everyday for the past few years.
One day my best friend and I decided we should learn how to play Mahjong. My entire world shifted and I was hooked!

So, how do I combine my love of games, my best friend, cooking, shopping, party planning, and all things pretty? Open a Mahjong studio with a beautiful retail space!

I am a wife and mother of two boys (ages 6 and 8), born and raised in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. I married my husband, also a FWB native, in 2015, and we are raising our family in the community they grew up in.

A few years ago, I discovered American Mahjong through a private lesson alongside a group of friends. While the game didn’t come easily at first, I quickly fell in love with its strategy, complexity, and the sense of community it fosters. Since April 2025, I have shared that passion as a teacher, having taught over 300 women how to play, and helping new players build the same connections that first drew me to the game.

I am also committed to giving back to my community. I am a member of Impact 100, a volunteer teacher with the Center for Lifelong Learning, and serve on the board of a local nonprofit school.
