You'll learn how to navigate the Charleston, recognize potential hands, choose and change strategies, make smarter discards, use jokers effectively, and read what other players are doing at the table.

This is a hands-on, strategy-focused class designed to help you play with greater confidence and intention. Snacks and drinks will be provided!

Perfect for: Players who know the basics and are ready to improve their game.
*Mahjong 101 or equivalent experience required.
Arrival Instructions

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to start time for all lessons.  
Studio Policy

No children under 10 allowed in the upstairs Mahjong studio unless it is a designated children's class. You must have a ticket to be in the upstairs Mahjong studio space.

Cancellation Policy

To cancel a booking you must email us at hello@mahjongbeachhouse.com at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled session.

A few years ago, I discovered American Mahjong through a private lesson alongside a group of friends. While the game didn’t come easily at first, I quickly fell in love with its strategy, complexity, and the sense of community it fosters.

Since April 2025, I have shared that passion as a teacher, having taught over 300 women how to play, and helping new players build the same connections that first drew me to the game.
